How to Use Landing Pages

Knowing how to use landing pages is an essential tool in your marketing strategy. Landing pages give you an opportunity to provide something of value to your audience in exchange for some of their information (ex. email & name). It also gives you the opportunity to grow the relationship and warm up to potential prospects with the intent to convert them to paying clients/customers.

What makes an effective landing page?

The Offer (your unique selling proposition): A good landing page should have an enticing offer like an ebook, tips/tricks to accomplish something you are struggling with, joining a community, or following a blog that offers content that interests them.

The Benefits: The landing page must be able to explain (in bullet form) why the offer is valuable. The headline and subheadings also provide a key opportunity to promote the value of your offer.

Social Proof (I’ll have what she’s having): This is a good opportunity to harness the power of persuasion and display such evidence as testimonials, reviews, a list of customers, a press release, etc.

A CLEAR Call to Action: A call to action is what you want your visitors to do to move them further along your conversion funnel (SIGN UP NOW, BUY TODAY, TRY IT FREE, SHOP). Make sure the CTA is visually distinct, placed above the fold and again below the content.

What’s the Difference Between a Landing Page and a Website?

How to Use Landing Pages Like A boss

It’s a great idea to experiment with different versions of landing pages to see which ones have the highest conversion rates. One of our favorite examples of a landing page is from Shopify:

All you have to do is provide an email and you will gain access to creating a store for free for a 14-day trial. The branding is consistent, the call to action is easy to understand and signing up is as easy as providing an email address to begin. Underneath is the bargain basement pricing, a statistic of how many other people are doing it, and how “easy” they make it for you to create your own store with their themes. Cheap, easy, and you are missing out by not being a part of this opportunity. That’s great marketing!

KP Design specializes in creating landing pages for our clients who are looking to increase their network and fill their funnel with potential clients. Once the website is complete, blogging on a regular basis (which is a lot easier said than done), having a monthly newsletter and knowing how to use landing pages, are great ways to keep your content fresh and keep your growing audience engaged. It’s a great feeling to put out new content, but it’s equally important to try and find out what your target audience is interested in.

That's It..?! Nope Not Yet 😉
