ROCKWOOD FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS
Rockwood Festival of the Arts offers amateur musicians, dancers and speech performers from across the region the opportunity to perform, compete for awards, and be adjudicated by experts. Each year the Festival hosts hundreds of performances in choral, dance, guitar, instrumental, musical theatre, piano, speech arts, string and vocal categories!
The Festival is a non-profit organization and runs solely by volunteers in the community. RFOTA needed a website that would not only inform teachers, students community members about the Festival, but would also offer online payments for donations and patronages. The website would need to be updated regularly with festival classes and events.
I agreed to do the website, branding and print graphics for the RFOTA as a pro bono project. As a Bachelor of Music degree holder myself, I understood the importance of supporting the arts in my community and I felt that with my musical background I would be the best person for the job.
Each photograph was carefully chosen to strike a chord with the user, to let them know that the Festival was not only professional but whole-heartily behind their philosophy of supporting the arts. I set up the home page to allow the user to quickly and easily find information on class enrollment, contact information, and volunteer and donation options.
I also created an email campaign and opt-in form for the Festival to be able to send out important performance/class information and keep in touch with patrons, volunteers and advertisers. I volunteer my time and expertise every year by updating the website, email campaigns and designing digital advertising graphics.
